Stadia is Google's new streaming gaming platform and it launches this November in 14 countries.
Google held their first Stadia Connect yesterday and we have the full recap on everything announced. Stadia promises instant streaming access to games on almost any device you own. There are currently over 30 games announced and you can read the list below.
Google stated that the above is "the begging" of its launch lineup.
Google has three different offers to get you started with Stadia. Note that games are purchased individually with an optional subscription.
Stadia: Base The starter tier is absolutely free and won't be available until 2020. It allows you to stream games at 1080p/60fps.
Stadia: Pro: This tier requires a subscription of $9.99 a month and grants early access to Stadia this November. Image quality gets bumped up to 4K/60 fps with HDR and 5.1 surround sound support. Additionally you will receive a selection of free games every month as well as discounts on other games on the Stadia service.
Stadia Founder's Edition At a price of $129.99 (regional pricing varies) you will receive your first three months of Stadia Pro at no additional cost as well as a buddy pass to give Stadia Pro to one friend for the same three months. The Founder's Edition includes a Chromecast Ultra and limited-edition Stadia controller. The last perk is that you are able to reserve your Stadia name before anyone else.
Stadia launches in these 14 countries in November 2019.
Google states that Stadia’s resolution ranges from 720p to 4K to match your network’s speed. A minimum of 10 Mbps is required for 720p and 35 Mbps for 4K. You can test your connection here. More details on Stadia will be announced in the coming months.
