Andrew Ryan is a notable character in Video gaming, and often a fan favorite. Let's take a look at what inspired his creation.
Andrew Ryan of Bioshock is a remarkable figure, often noted for his intriguing ideology and striking charisma. The name comes from it being a semi-anagram of "Ayn Rand", one of the real-life figures he is loosely based upon / inspired by.
Ayn Rand also happens to be the author of Atlas Shrugged, the book from which "John Galt", to whom Ryan is often compared to, originates from.
Albeit being over 1000 pages with a bible-sized font, the book is a fantastic read.
